The CA-NV PHTC Internship Program is designed to provide graduate-level public health students the opportunity to apply the skills they learn through their coursework to a practice setting while giving the host agencies the opportunity to receive assistance from graduate students who are skilled in a variety of areas of public health. The goal of the internship is to encourage students to seek future employment in agencies or organizations that serve or target underserved or vulnerable populations.
Students will receive a specified stipend for completed internship activities. To be eligible for the stipend a student must meet the following conditions: (a) not already have received a CA-NV PHTC stipend award, (b) be enrolled in a graduate-level public health degree program at a CA-NV PHTC partners university (c) not currently being paid by the internship organization, (d) be eligible to work in the U.S.; and (e) complete the required application and internship summary report.
